You may pair Elias, the Thread-Yanker with another unpaired creature when either enters the battlefield. That creature has haste and is goaded as long as it is paired with Elias.
Paired creatures get +X/+Y, where X is the power of the creature they're paired with and Y is the toughness of the creature they're paired with.
